Top tips for a digital detox

It's nearly Friday and we're going to unplug for the weekend!

Unplugging from your digital devices can help you to feel calmer, reduce stress, be more productive and improve your well-being...Yay!

Are you in?

How would you like to feel more connected and calm this week? Believe it or not reducing the time you spend on your smart phone, computer or tablet, either working or simply scrolling through social media has HUGE benefits. Living in such a face paced world, where technology is never far away, we often don’t realise just how much time is taken up each day with our heads in our phone, and out of the real life zone.

It is always good to remember, everything in life needs balance.

Soaking up real-time instead of screen time will ease anxiety, increase happiness, reduce multitasking, reduce those technology cravings, and allow you to connect more with the people in your life.

Want to unplug this weekend? Here's how:

✔️ Delete any apps from your phone that you know you mindlessly scroll (take it from us that willpower alone will not stop you opening Instagram!)

✔️ If taking a whole weekend off from the online world feels like too big a step, start small. Schedule in a chunk of tech-free time each day. Some good times to try are before bed, over dinner, in the gym or on your commute.

✔️ Replace tech with something that makes you feel good like exercise, reading a book or having a walk in nature.

✔️ Practice mindfulness, be in the moment with everything you do this weekend.

✔️ Do you use your phone for maps, camera, alarm, every day survival? Change it up and go without and see how far you can get….we did it before mobile phones, we can certainly do it again.

Get disconnected, to get reconnected 🌱
