Want Your Business to Thrive? Start With Your Employees
Recently, our founder Lucy joined Magenta to discuss the intrinsic factors that allow employees to thrive within the workplace, and how health and wellbeing are interconnected in employee engagement.
The three pillars of wellbeing—physical, mental, and emotional—are crucial elements for good performance. A great example of this is a healthcare frontline worker Lucy met, experiencing a significant reduction in heart rate through meditation, illustrating the positive impact of focusing on wellness. The organisation’s management team is now implementing meditation sessions before meetings, which is a huge step forward both on a company, and individual level.
The key to employee thriving is identified as meeting their physical, emotional, and psychological needs, fostering a sense of value and purpose within a positive and inclusive work environment. The blog underlines the role of effective communication in promoting wellness benefits, with the need for tailored approaches considering individual needs through surveys and questionnaires.
"Wellbeing and performance are inextricably linked. Good performance relies on three main pillars of wellbeing focus: the physical, mental, and emotional. Once these are engaged and people are in good health, they will have a stronger sense of wellbeing, will tune into themselves better, and perform better."
Lucy provides a wealth of her learned knowledge from the many years she’s spent working on introducing well-being initiatives within the corporate sector. Ready to read the interview? Click below!
